About
Stavangerkameratene is a quartet consisting of members Kjartan Salvesen, Tommy Fredvang, Glenn Lyse, and Ole Alexander Mæland.
The band first gained recognition when they performed at the 2015 Volleyball World Cup. On that same day, they were named "Stavangerkameratene" after being introduced by Stian Blipp on stage.
In 2016, they released a Norwegian version of Avicii's monster hit "Wake Me Up," which garnered attention for the band. That same year, they released their self-written song "Bare så du vett det." The song became a major success, receiving 5x platinum certification with over 30 million streams on streaming services. Following this, they released their self-titled album, which continued their success with over 81 weeks in the top 40 and over 50 million streams.
Since then, they have released several singles and two albums. In 2024, you can catch them at summer festivals in Norway.
