About Aasmund Nordstoga
Aasmund Nordstoga debuted as an artist in 1997 with the album "Løynde eldars land," which featured lyrics by the renowned author Tarjei Vesaas. He also made his mark on the album "Livet er godt" (1994) with lyrics by Aasmund Olavsson Vinje. Since then, he has released several albums with Norwegian and Nordic folk songs that have won the hearts of audiences.
In 2009, he made his solo debut with the album "Ein visefugg." The album quickly became a success and was nominated for the Spellemannprisen award in the category of best folk album. The title track "Det er meg det samme hvor jeg havner når jeg dør" became an instant classic and a favorite among the audience. He followed up with the album "Friaren" in 2010, which was also well-received and charted on the VG-lista for several weeks.
Aasmund Nordstoga's music is characterized by its acoustic and down-to-earth style, and his distinctive voice captivates listeners. Rooted in folk music, he explores new musical paths and creates unique and surprising soundscapes.
He has also been part of exciting collaborative projects with other artists, such as "Tryllefløyta - ein folkeopera" in 2005, an innovative interpretation of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera in a folk music version.
